Stocking Savvy is now hiring Paid Interns!
We are looking for people dedicated to the environment preferably in college or entry level people working in environmental fields who are looking for experience in the following: -Biology -Ecology -Ethology -Environmental Journalism/Outreach -Chemistry/Water Sciences -Environmental and Political Consulting This will be a 12 week trial internship for several people consisting of 10-20 flexible hours per week with opportunities for future employment in Sarasota or nearby areas. Pay will be $10 an hour and job duties will consist of the following: data entry, writing environmental short articles/posts, helping at educational booths, and identifying plants and animals and other miscellaneous tasks. These tasks will not be more than 50% of the job with the rest pertaining to field exercises, field identification, shadowing senior staff, writing and publishing scientific papers and entry into dozens of environmental events and conferences. Ten years is a very long time, so I might think about it. I know that this challenge will yield great results for your research, but it is also very taxing. I hope that you get the results that you need, and to be frank, I also wish to be included in it. I am going to have to think about it for now. Please let me know if you still need someone for your next project, I will probably join the next one.

He has written and defended an Honors Thesis at New College of Florida, and continues to do independent research to better understand Florida's ecosystems and provide the most specialized consultations possible. He has presented at the Environmental Summit and many other locations on his research; Multimodal Biological Control which is the selective stocking of native organisms to target and control nuisance organisms.
