St. John's Black-Eyed Susan, or Rudbeckia nitida, is an incredibly rare, endangered perennial herb that grows naturally in wet or mesic pine flat woods, savannas, and roadside ditches. It enjoys full sun to partial shade and has cheerful, yellow flowers characteristic of Rudbeckia species.
