Dotted Horsemint / Beebalm
Dotted horsemint, or Monarda punctata, is a short-lived perennial that serves as a wonderful addition to any butterfly or native plant garden. It has many medicinal and culinary uses for humans and has a strong aroma like its relatives in the mint family. It enjoys full sun to partial shade and average to dry soils, being drought tolerant once established. It grows to heights of around 2-3 feet and spreads by underground runners, forming clumps. It is a nectar source for bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinating insects.
A seed pack contains 30-50 seeds.
