The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program is the #1 local grantor for wetland restoration and works extensively with local communities to plant and restore wetland and lake habitats throughout Sarasota, Manatee, and Sarasota Bay adjacent counties.
The Florida Native Plant Society offers multiple grants generally under $5,000 for the restoration, conservation, or education about native plant species. Grants are changed and added overtime so be sure to check in regularly.
$5,000 or More
The Monarch Butterfly and Pollinators Conservation Fund supports work that advances the conservation of the monarch butterfly and other at-risk native insect pollinators. Wetland Program Development Grants provide eligible applicants an opportunity to conduct projects that promote the coordination and acceleration of research, investigations, experiments, training, demonstrations, surveys and studies relating to the causes, effects, extent, prevention, reduction and elimination of water pollution.
Florida's State Wildlife Grants Program is supported by the federal State and Tribal Wildlife Grants Program, which provides annually appropriated funding to every state and territory. This is a matching grants program, which provides financial support for projects that address conservation needs identified in the State Wildlife Action Plan.
